IT'S A....

...FOOTBALL PLAYER!

(Yes, we are having a boy!)

After months and days counting down, today finally arrived. Our poll on the blog showed many leaning toward the girl side...A straw poll last night at the Quince house revealed that all were divided 50/50. Gyasi and I predicted a boy, while Missy and Tony predicted a girl.

We absolutely loved our new sonogram lady! She walked us back and chatted the entire way. When she looked at me, she predicted a girl, because my stomach is on the smaller side, for how far a long I am. (I thought I was huge!!)

She showed us all of the baby starting with his heart, brain, spinal cord, arms, kidneys, legs, bone structure, and even face!

FINALLY, she began to look for the tell-tale evidence that would let us know if we should start thinking "he" or "she." He was so busy moving and twisting she had a hard time finding the anatomy. (As she searched, I caught glimpses and predicted in my head that it was a boy).

Finally, she captured the pefect shot and froze it: "Do you know what you're looking at?"

I said, "It's a boy, isn't it?"

"Yes, it is."

As she worked to capture a good shot for friends and family, I had a few tears run down my face. Many of you (who know that I was hoping for a girl) might think that they were tears of disappointment. Really, though, they were just tears because it was such beautiful moment to see him move and squirm, to see all of the body parts, and to FINALLY know this person inside me a little more.

The OB said that he's 8oz and is in the 46th percentile for size(not too big and not too small...perfect!) and that everything looks wonderful. Another great appointment!

Here's some pictures from this morning...

This next picture is amazing...he's waving to his adoring fans!!

When you look at the picture below, there's no denying that it's a boy!!

Go ahead a buy those blue outfits and footballs!! :-)
